GET TO KNOW ME I am John Daris. A senior in high school. A future Firefighter. |
I am 17 years old and I have a large family with 6 siblings total, 2 of them being my step brothers. On my free time I usual am outside playing a sport like baseball or football, I play baseball for my school, I have played for 3 years so far, I play 2 positions which are center field and pitcher. I have learned so many skills being on my team they have helped me get better and play smarter. When I grow up I want to play for Los Angeles Dodgers but speaking in realistic terms that won't happen because I am not that good at baseball. Realistically I want to be a firefighter and I want to save as many lives in my community as possible. I have always wanted to be a firefighter and when I grow up I am going to be one. While practicing fire fighting I would love to study culinary because throughout my life I have always appreciated food and I would love to be able to make the best of the best food and host parties and cook for my friends.

Chandler Fire Cadets
During the spring when I am not playing sports I spend my time at the Chandler Fire Health and Medical training facility apart of the Chandler Fire Cadet program. We train and practice things that firefighters would do on the job, it is a once in a life time opportunity.
|
We spend many hours training in conditions that the real firefighters have to, this gives us the closest experience to what the real job is like. I am happy to be able to be apart of the cadets, they are like a second family to me.
